Sermon Scripture: Galations 5:22,23, James 5:7-11

When we hear the term patience, our thoughts are likely going to what our western, English dictionaries would describe patience to be: the ability to accept or tolerate delay or trouble without getting upset. But God’s idea of patience is really much greater. Scripture helps us view patience in regard to interpersonal relationships rather than exclusively waiting through inconvenient situations.

Join us as we look at our sermon scripture this morning, let us consider patience in three ways.

  1. The object of patience (What would God have us be patient for?)
  2. The attitude of patience. (While we are undergoing seasons of patience or waiting, how is God working in our hearts?)
  3. The activity of patience. (What activity are we to undertake while we are waiting?)
