How Is Your Giving Used?
Emmaus Road operates on a $0 budget, meaning every gift is used to support the ministries, operations, and global work of the church.
The following categories make up the places your giving supports.
MINISTRIES
Our ministries are the lifeblood of our common life together at Emmaus. These areas include our worship services, kids classes, season celebration events, discipleship, care, and much more.
GLOBAL AID
Emmaus Road tithes at least 15% of our total annual income toward global church initiatives including: missions, disaster response, health care, education, compassionate ministries, and denominational support.
OPERATIONS
Our building and property are owned free and clear, but a portion of our annual budget goes toward maintenance, repairs, and capital improvements.
SALARIES
We support our full-time pastor and our part-time staff with fair living wages. We are blessed to have staff and endeavor to support them well.
FAITH PROMISE
FAITH PROMISE is used by many local churches to raise financial support for world missions. The Church of the Nazarene, of which Emmaus Road is a member, has one of the longest running, globally supported missions programs in the World.
FAITH PROMISE asks us to give generously beyond our personal tithe supporting the local church, in order to partner with God in resourcing the healing work of His Kingdom all around the world.
FAITH PROMISE giving goes directly to international mission work, including missionary salaries, radio, television and online programing, Bible translation partnerships, medical missions, disaster relief, and creative access missions.
Your personal tithes and offerings support the ministry and operations of our local body, Emmaus Road, and cover staff salaries, local outreach and impact ministries, utilities, and building maintenance.
Emmaus Road will send all FAITH PROMISE giving to our global missions organization.
FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY
All funds at Emmaus Road are expertly handled by our church treasurer, Crystal Van Kull, and a board appointed Finance Committee who perform quarterly audits and provide financial direction and oversight.
No staff is involved in the counting or handling of tithes, offerings, or financial gifts.
