Sermon Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NRSV)

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

I imagine these words from the Apostle Paul would hit you differently based on your current circumstances. If things are going pretty well “Rejoice ALWAYS” or “give thanks in ALL circumstances” feels doable. However, if you are going through a really tough time right now and you don’t feel grateful at all, these words are more difficult.
