Sermon Scripture: Philippians 3:4b-14

Joy is often one of the most misunderstood of the Fruit of the Spirit, mainly due to the was culture has shaped our understanding of it. Part of the problem is that we look for joy in the wrong places. We have been conditioned to experience joy through achievement, but what happends when we don’t get the promotion, our finances don’t allow us to have the “perfect” house, or any number of other comparative challenges arise. 

Scripture teaches us that Joy is to be received, then accepted through Christ, and lasting joy comes when we are able to shift our perspective on joy. Join us as we attempt to relearn the true wonder of joy.
