Just like the church in Colossians chapter 2, we face pressures from all sides. Pastor Andy Lucas reminds us that giving in to these pressures would be compromise and would move Jesus away from the center of our faith. Through his life, death, and resurrection, Jesus has “disarmed the powers and authorities” and made “a public spectacle of them.” Jesus is the reality to which the laws pointed and he is our eternal hope and help in times of need.
