Sermon Scripture: Romans 8:5-9 (NRSV)

Living according to the flesh is like turning in on ourselves and trying to fuel our lives without ever connecting to an outside source. Paul says this will lead to death. Only focusing on yourself without concern for the other will lead to death. 

The scriptures say that when we live with a mindset of the Spirit, it leads to life and peace. The life he is talking about is the life we resurrection life we talked about a couple of weeks ago. The peace that comes is union with God.
